HillHouse Writer’s – Seeking submissions: Put your annotations to use

fakeGODDARDCOLLEGEDEGREEDear Creative Writers,
HillHouse Writer’s Retreat, our company which has been hosting writers for about ten years at our farm in Tennessee has evolved. Starting in the fall of this year, we will be holding one week intensive writing retreats for up to 50 people in the National Forests of Oregon. Our first retreat will be at the Kiwanis Camp near Mount Hood. Good food, fine company, intensive writing workshops and nightly presentations. All for an affordable price.

The website will be going public soon (I will post it here as soon as it does). It will be part information about the retreats, part blog about related subjects (writing, retreats, author news, tips, re-blogs, etc.) and part journal and we are seeking submissions, with a twist.

You know all those critical papers and annotations you did as a part of your MFA? We want to publish your work. We expect to publish one or two per week. There will be links for purchasing the subject books. The categories will cross reference authors, book titles and subjects.

We are interested in critical papers concerning all genres, but mainly fiction novels, novellas and short stories, creative non-fiction, memoir, poetry, screenwriting and graphic novels. We will also publish reviews on craft books and craft articles as long as they are linkable or available on-line in some way.

Guidelines

  • You may include art with your submission.
  • There is no word limit.

Interested?

We will be setting up a Submittable site soon, but for now, please email to submissions@hillhousewriters.com.

Please pass this around to other MFA candidates and graduates.
